Thai Nguyen University Announces the Appointment of the Rector and Vice Rectors of Thai Nguyen University of Education

On June 16, 2026, Thai Nguyen University held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister’s Decision on the merger of Northern Law College into Thai Nguyen University of Sciences and to announce personnel-related decisions of Thai Nguyen University. As part of the program, Thai Nguyen University announced and presented appointment decisions for Presidents and Vice Presidents of its member universities, including Thai Nguyen University of Education.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau and his delegation; leaders of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education and Training; leaders of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen Province; and representatives of provincial departments, agencies, and sectors.

Representing Thai Nguyen University were members of the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Thai Nguyen University; leaders of its functional offices, the Party and Mass Organizations Office, and the Office; the Chairman of the Trade Union; the Chairman of the Veterans Association; the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; and leaders of units under and affiliated with Thai Nguyen University.

Representing Thai Nguyen University of Education were members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the University’s Board of Management, the Chairman of the University Trade Union, the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Chairman of the Veterans Association, and heads and deputy heads of the University’s units.

Accordingly, the President of Thai Nguyen University presented the following appointment decisions: Decision No. 2828/QĐ-ĐHTN dated May 18, 2026, appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Xuan Truong as Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Education; Decision No. 3115/QĐ-ĐHTN dated May 28, 2026, appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Tran Phuong as Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Education; Decision No. 3128/QĐ-ĐHTN dated May 28, 2026, appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Nguyen as Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Education; Decision No. 3129/QĐ-ĐHTN dated May 28, 2026, appointing Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Quang Tan as Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Education; Decision No. 3223/QĐ-ĐHTN dated June 1, 2026, appointing Dr. Nguyen Huu Toan as Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Education.

In his remarks assigning responsibilities at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Thai Nguyen University, congratulated the newly appointed leaders and acknowledged the efforts and contributions of the leadership teams of the member universities in general, and Thai Nguyen University of Education in particular, to the development of Thai Nguyen University in recent years.

He called on the University’s leadership to continue promoting solidarity, responsibility, and innovation in university governance; improve the quality of education and training, scientific research, digital transformation, international cooperation, and community service; and contribute to strengthening the position of the University within Thai Nguyen University and in the region.
