On the afternoon of April 7, 2026, Thai Nguyen University of Education held a training workshop titled “E-portfolio Development Skills and the Application of AI in Teaching at General Schools.” The workshop was organized as part of the Erasmus+ project “Digital Inclusion in Higher Education Institutions” (DIVE). The program aimed to support students in enhancing their technological competencies, gradually building personal competency profiles for academic and professional purposes, and effectively accessing and applying AI tools in general school teaching.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, the Office of Planning and Finance, invited speakers responsible for the training content, and a large number of registered students.
The training program was scientifically structured and practically oriented, combining theory with hands-on activities. Within the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of the Office of Planning and Finance and senior lecturer of the Faculty of Physics, delivered Topic 1: Overview of E-portfolios and Their Role in Learning and Employment. This session provided a systematic introduction to the concept, characteristics, significance, and development trends of e-portfolios in the context of current educational innovation and digital transformation.
In Topic 2: Guidelines for Developing Personal E-portfolios (Structure, Content, and Tools), students were given practical orientations for building their personal competency profiles in digital environments. The session focused on how to construct a well-organized e-portfolio, from determining the overall structure and selecting core content categories to logically presenting evidence of learning, experiential activities, achievements, and personal products. Students were also guided in selecting and using appropriate tools and platforms to ensure convenience, aesthetics, and long-term updatability.

In addition to theoretical content, the program included time for practice, discussion, and Q&A. Students directly experienced building their own e-portfolios and experimented with AI tools in lesson design under the guidance of the presenters. The discussion atmosphere was dynamic and open, reflecting students’ strong interest and active learning spirit.

The training workshop on E-portfolio Development Skills and the Application of AI in Teaching at General Schools was a meaningful and practical activity, equipping students with essential knowledge and skills to enhance self-directed learning and proactively develop their careers in the context of educational digital transformation. It also provided valuable opportunities for students to access modern educational trends and gradually form a mindset of applying technology in both academic and professional contexts.
