Promoting cooperation activities in teacher training between the Thai Nguyen University of Education - Thai Nguyen University and HOGENT University, Belgium

In 2022, in the context of complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, the leaders of the Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) - Thai Nguyen University and HOGENT University, Belgium have expressed their desire to cooperate. Indeed, two universities have held a Memorandum of Understanding online signing ceremony.

On April 24-25, 2023, to implement the signed cooperation contents, Ms. Jo Cochuyt, the coordinator of international cooperation activities, at HOGENT University, Belgium visited TNUE.

At the meeting, Dr. On Thi My Linh, Head of the Department of Science-Technology and International Cooperation discussed with Ms. Jo Cochuyt three desired cooperation topics including bringing Belgian students to the TNUE for studying and pedagogical internships; coordinating in organizing Vietnamese language and culture camps for HOGENT university students; coordinating in the implementation of projects and research topics on teaching methods and promote the lecturers and student exchange between the two universities.

During the business trip, Ms. Jo Cochuyt also visited and worked with Thai Nguyen High School (the practical high school affiliated with the TNUE) and 915 Gia Sang Primary and Secondary School, Thai Nguyen. Ms. Jo Cochuyt has expressed her wishes to cooperate with the TNUE and high schools in Thai Nguyen province in guiding pedagogical internships HOGENT students to diversify the practical environment, and internship and enhance HOGENT pedagogical students' teaching capacities to adapt to the multicultural environment.
