On August 22, 2025, Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) held an online forum themed “Teaching Multilingual English through the Arts” (TEMA) in partnership with the University of Glasgow, the British Council Vietnam, provincial education departments, and local museums.

The event gathered nearly 300 participants, including education leaders, experts, and English teachers from Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, and Quang Ninh. In his opening remarks, TNUE Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Quang Tan thanked partners and praised teachers for their creativity in integrating arts into English lessons.

Teachers shared outcomes of the TEMA project, highlighting a new multilingual, arts-based teaching resource jointly developed by TNUE, the University of Glasgow, the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, and museums. The model emphasizes the use of local culture in English teaching, aligning with Vietnam’s 2018 education reforms.

The forum reaffirmed partners’ commitment to expanding TEMA, underscoring TNUE’s pioneering role in linking language, arts, and culture to inspire innovation in English education.
