Encouraging and supporting students to participate in research and start-up activities are key directions of TNUE. Other than research competitions organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, TNUE students have been actively participating in other innovative and creative activities such as the Euréka Student Research Award which aims to improve research capacity, apply scientific knowledge to solve practical problems, and contribute to the development of communities and localities.

In 2023, students of the University of Education submitted 04 topics for the Euréka Scientific Research Student Award competing with 1,509 topics from 4,562 candidates from 134 universities, colleges, and students nationwide. The topic is in the field of Information Technology: Building a model to identify fighting behavior to support school violence prevention by a group of authors Nguyen Bao Yen, Nguyen Thi Mai, Nguyen Quoc Bao led by Dr. Vu Duc Quang, MSc. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - lecturer of the Department of Mathematics, whose guidance was highly appreciated by the council, is one of 14 excellent scientific topics in the field of Information Technology selected for the Final round.

At the final round of the 25th Euréka Prize in 2023 from November 24-26, 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, TNUE student group presented creative research ideas, mentioning solutions to apply them. Using information technology to contribute to solving the problem of school violence before the Appraisal Council. The project of student group Nguyen Bao Yen, Nguyen Thi Mai, Nguyen Quoc Bao won the Consolation Prize and received a Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union awarded for the most voted scientific video.

These initial achievements mark the outstanding efforts of students, lecturers of the Faculty of Mathematics in particular, and lecturers and learners of the School in general on the journey of scientific research, innovation, and creativity for the community, in context of implementing strong digital transformation in education.
