On December 12, 2024, at Thai Nguyen High School for the Gifted, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Xuan Truong – Rector and representative of the leadership of Thai Nguyen University of Education – attended the Closing and Award Ceremony of the 2024 Science and Engineering Fair for High School Students in Thai Nguyen Province.

The provincial Science and Engineering Fair, organized by the Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen Province, aims to encourage high school students to engage in scientific research, apply knowledge to solving real-world problems, and foster passion for science among the younger generation. The competition drew enthusiastic participation from many students, with numerous practical and innovative scientific projects submitted.

For many years, Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) has paid close attention to supporting scientific research activities of students from high schools both within and beyond Thai Nguyen Province. Lecturers of the University are encouraged to collaborate with high school teachers in guiding students’ research projects and start-up initiatives. Many projects co-supervised by TNUE faculty have won First and Second Prizes at provincial and national levels.

In the 2024 provincial Science and Engineering Fair, TNUE lecturers supported and guided over 20 student research projects, many of which achieved high awards at the competition.

At the Closing and Award Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Xuan Truong – Rector of TNUE – presented 83 prizes worth nearly VND 34 million to the winning projects (First, Second, and Third Prizes). The awards aimed to encourage students’ love for science, nurture their research passion, and promote creativity and entrepreneurship among the young generation of the province.
