On June 14, 2024, Thai Nguyen University of Education organized a Field Trip at the Museum of Cultures of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups for Lao Students of the 2+1+1 program and Lao Students of Preparatory Vietnamese Program. Nearly 50 international students from Laos and Mongolia, under the guidance of lecturers from the Faculty of Literature, learned about the culture, customs, and beliefs of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.

The international students were very excited to hear introductions to unique Vietnamese cultural features, and  directly participated in hands-on experiences watching water puppetry, beeswax pattern printing, cooking colored sticky rice, and bamboo dancing. After the trip, international students completed presentations in Vietnamese introducing the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

Through this activity, international students' ability to use language is enhanced, and at the same time, Vietnamese culture is displayed extremely vividly and interestingly before the international students' eyes. Not only can children admire the panorama and learn about the traditions and cultures of the ethnic groups on the beloved S-shaped strip of land; but also fostered more love for the country and people of Vietnam.
