On June 20, 2024, Ambassador of Lao PDR in Vietnam - Ms. Khamphao Earnthavanh visited Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) and attended the Closing Ceremony of the Vietnamese language training course for Lao students in the form of 2+1+1.

Ms. Khamphao Earnthavanh expressed her joy to visit at Thai Nguyen University of Education. The data and training results show that TNUE is always one of the prestigious educational institutions, with many cooperative relationships and support for educational institutions, especially universities and colleges of teacher training in Laos.

Associate Professor Ha Tran Phuong expressed that TNUE always determined that training and fostering the provision of high quality human resources for Laos was one of its strategic tasks. TNUE had issued a Plan to develop international strategic partnerships for the period 2020-2025, which focuses on supporting universities in Laos in training lecturers with doctoral degrees, coordinating to organize conferences and seminars, scholarships for educational institutions in Laos from TNUE scholarship resources.

Sharing at the opening of the Closing Ceremony, Associate Professor Mai Xuan Truong, Rector, affirmed that in recent years, in addition to the efforts and enthusiasm of staff and lecturers, the coordination closely from the management agencies of Thai Nguyen province, TNUE always received special attention from the Embassy of the Lao Democratic Republic in Vietnam in the management and training of Lao students which is also one of the important reasons contributing to the quality of training for Laotian students increasingly improving and Laotian students and trainees at TNUE achieving many high achievements in study and research.

Ms. Khamphao Earnthavanh congratulated the good results of the students in Course and other achievements of Laotian students studying at TNUE in recent years. These achievements are possible thanks to the attention of leaders of ministries, provinces, and related units, and the efforts of TNUE leaders, lecturers and students. Ms. Khamphao Earnthavanh believes that after returning home from graduation, these students will bring knowledge and skills learned from TNUE to apply in their work, contributing to cultivating friendly relationships, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

At the Closing Ceremony, representatives of TNUE leaders awarded certificates of course completion to 19 Lao students, and certificates of merit to 04 students who completed the course with excellent achievements in both studying and training. At the same time, certificates of merit were awarded to Vietnamese students who were collaborators and supported the course.
