From June 16 to 20, 2025, Thai Nguyen University of Education, in collaboration with the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM), hosted the International Workshop on Geometric Analysis and Algebra. The event served as a significant scientific forum, bringing together mathematicians from Vietnam and abroad, while enhancing international cooperation and affirming the university’s research standing.

The workshop welcomed 50 participants, including leading scholars from research institutes and universities in South Korea, Japan, the United States, India, and Vietnam. Presentations highlighted cutting-edge topics such as geometric flows, partial differential equations in geometry, complex geometry and submanifolds, as well as commutative algebra and related problems.

Distinguished contributions included talks by Prof. Yohei Sakurai (Saitama University, Japan), Assoc. Prof. Abhitosh Upadhyay (Indian Institute of Technology, India), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Nguyen An (Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Thai Nguyen University of Education).

Beyond academic exchange, the workshop opened new opportunities for collaborative research, faculty exchange, and postgraduate training between Thai Nguyen University of Education and its international partners. Its successful organization underscores the university’s growing strength in science and technology, particularly in the field of theoretical mathematics.
