On November 25, 2024, Thai Nguyen University of Education (TNUE) welcomed a delegation from Aichi University, Japan, and Morita Group Vietnam JSC.

Representing the delegation were Professor Honda Shoko, Faculty of Regional Policy, Aichi University; Mr. Taito Morita, Director of Morita Group Vietnam JSC; and Mr. Sanayuki Morita, staff member of Morita Group Vietnam JSC.

From TNUE, participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Quang Tan, Vice Rector, along with leaders from the Office of Science, Technology and International Cooperation, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Faculty of Primary Education.

During the meeting, the delegation toured the university campus and was introduced to TNUE’s training programs and recent achievements.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Quang Tan expressed his pleasure at welcoming the delegation to TNUE.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thu Huong, Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education, presented the faculty’s training programs and proposed potential areas of cooperation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Quang Tan emphasized that TNUE has long established partnerships with leading educational institutions worldwide, including Japan. From 2003 to 2013, the university collaborated with the Faculty of Education, University of the Ryukyus (Japan), on the project “Language Education in Ethnic Minority Areas of Northern Vietnam.” The project achieved positive outcomes, notably enhancing learning adaptation and confidence among students in disadvantaged and ethnic minority communities of Thai Nguyen Province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Taito Morita, Director of Morita Group Vietnam JSC, shared that the company has been operating for over 30 years and currently runs nearly 100 educational institutions in Japan. With strong ties to Aichi University, the company expressed its intention to collaborate with TNUE in primary teacher training.

Professor Honda Shoko introduced Aichi University, an institution with 120 years of history, noting that primary teacher education is one of its core areas of focus.

The working session concluded successfully, opening new avenues of cooperation between TNUE, Aichi University, Morita Group Vietnam JSC, and other Japanese educational institutions.
