On March 23, 2023, the delegation of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan led by Professor Lai Ming-Chih, the Dean of College of Science visited TNUE.

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was established on the basis of merging two universities: National Yang Ming University and National Chiao Tung University on February 1, 2021. Before the merger, National Yang Ming University focused on biomedical research and National Chiao Tung University focused on electronics and telecommunications research, both of which were top universities in Taiwan. National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University has 2,109 lecturers and 20,412 students, over 152 training programs, with 19 affiliated schools/institutes, 75 university-level research centers, and 07 national-level laboratories.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Xuan Truong and Professor Lai Ming-Chih chaired a discussion on the terms of the international joint program with a major in Solid State Physics. The two sides have agreed on important content about the program, lecturers, and finance so that students of Department of Physics in particular and TNUE students in general have more opportunities to study at least 02 semesters in Taiwan. On the basis of the signed Memorandum of Understanding, the two Universities are committed to strengthening cooperation and strongly promoting exchange programs of lecturers and students in the academic year 2023-2024.

The meeting ended in an open and sharing atmosphere, promising successes in building and implementing an international joint program with a degree in Solid State Physics between the two Universities.
