Licensed by Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in teaching Vietnamese language for foreigners since 2014, CIVT has been training for thousand of foreign students from USA, Japan, Korea, Laos, Thailand, China, Mongolia and Mozambique.

Vietnamese Courses for Foreigners taught at CIVT are Elementary Vietnamese Course, Intermediate Vietnamese Course, Advanced Vietnamese Course, and Vietnamese Course for Specific Purposes (Tourism, Economics and Business), Vietnamese Language and Culture Course, Vietnamese Teaching Methods.

Since 2020, CIVT, one of seven national institutions, has been approved by MOET to organize Vietnamese Language Proficiency Test for Foreigners. Foreigners who attend the language test at CIVT have got opportunities to receive a national certificate on Vietnamese language with one of six levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).
